But First, Let me Take a Selfie

But First, Let me Take a Selfie

We live in a day and age where the selfie is actually a thing.  Some people find them vain, some people are obsessive, some people hate them but I see it this way….

For so long women (and men) have been told they needed to look a certain way – based on what we see in the media.  We need to be a size 2, have perfect hair, teeth, skin and the list goes on. But what if you don’t look like what media and society deems ‘perfection’?

Well, I think it’s time to do what I did…learn to love yourself just as you are.  If we were all created the same, wouldn’t life be boring?

This is another set of images that The Gentlemen’s Curb and I wanted to replicate.  Here is the original magazine cover inspiration – the infamous Kim and Kanye. We really want to see more plus representation in media – both male and female.  We’ve come so far, but still have a long way to go….and if taking a selfie helps you to see your beauty just a little bit more, snap that pic!CrsTCamUIAA3HMU
