Fitness Friday – #FITKNOWSNOSIZE by Vivacity Sportswear

Fitness Friday – #FITKNOWSNOSIZE by Vivacity Sportswear

Over the last 3 months I’ve changed up my workout routine like mad by joining Hourglass Fitness in Toronto.  With that has come having to find workout gear to accommodate the high intensity and how much I move around.  Before my workouts consisted mostly of cardio on some machine and heavy weights but I didn’t jump around and move around near as much as I do now, so what I wore was slightly different.

I was delighted to find a new brand this summer who now carries plus sizes in their line – Vivacity Sportswear.  The first time I saw their line I insisted on trying everything on – I mean everything.  This was a private event in New York City during Full Figured Fashion week to show off their new line and get feedback on what some plus size ladies thought, also while creating some awareness that they exist – I’m so glad I found them!

So what happened when I tried on everything – well I fell in love with every single piece I tried on.  From the fit, the quality of fabrics and of course I have to mention the length – something I struggle with when looking for new workout gear. Something about the fit of their line is slightly different from some other brands I’ve worn too.  The pieces are cut to highlight a woman’s curves – which of course I’m a fan of.

One of the best parts about their line as well is the fact that I can work out in their gear in comfort but I can also head to the grocery store or coffee with the girls and still look cute.  I’m not going to lie – if I could live in workout gear all the time, I would and Vivacity makes it even easier to do.

Now something else that sets this brand apart as well is their mission to change the conversation when it comes to our bodies.  They’ve created the hashtag #FITKNOWSNOSIZE and have also created a free, online collaborative platform that hopes to encourage women to share stories from personal experiences, guidance and tips (click HERE to visit the blog – you’ll find some of my blogs on there too).  They don’t agree that society, media and retailers should dictate to us what we need to look like or what the “perfect” size we should be.  They are changing the conversation form waist to fit size.

Now if you’ve followed me for very long you know that I am totally on board with helping the world see plus size women in a different light.  Just because I’m a bigger girl doesn’t mean that I’m not fit – you should see me kill it in the gym.

In this blog you’ll see how great I can move in their gear and obviously how nice it looks – pay attention to some of the details.  And what’s even better, use the coupon code SARAHT15 and receive 15% off plus free ground shipping in the US.  Stay tuned for more of this line to be added to my workout gear!
