Women are my passion.  Is that weird to say?  Well it’s true.  Women are worthy of so much.  Some of us see it, some of us don’t but my passion in life is women – maybe that’s why I’m still single? I kid, I kid.

But in all seriousness I want to take you inside a project I was recently involved in where an army of women came together with their talents, products and energy to create something magical.  We are a force to be reckoned with and we are fierce so let’s dive in….

So the back bone of this project started with this amazing woman I’ve recently met, Chantelle who is the creator and owner of Amadora Designs.  She brought us all together on chilly Sunday a couple weeks ago. (Photo to the right by Robert Skuja)

First off…what is Amadora Designs – it is handmade, unique and original pieces made with love – the love of beauty, fashion and jewelry and all things that sparkle!  And, today – she launches her line #MadeToSize – a collection of artesian jewels  made for every woman.  Be sure to check out her website and she’s even offering 25% off right now – http://www.amadorajewellery.com/

#MadeToSize is really just that, because Chantelle hand crafts all of her jewelry, it really is made to size, so whether you have smaller wrists, larger wrists or whether you want a specific length of necklace or you want some other jewelry made to your size, that’s what she will do! As we all put jewelry on throughout the day most of us plus size ladies made a comment about wondering if the bracelets especially would fit because they usually don’t….well, they all fit us.  Take a close look in the pictures at the quality of her work but also at the fit.

Beyond just a jewelry line – this is a movement.  This is #MadeToSize and this is a project where women are empowering women.  So who was involved in this project to help our friend Chantelle launch her baby into new levels – well, she pulled together some amazing Toronto bloggers, models and designers.

We started our day off meeting at the hotel we were shooting at.  We spent time getting our makeup done by the talented Sara Bella Makeup who not only is a makeup artist but she has her own makeup line!  Be sure to check her out!

Make up was one at a time and as each one finished their makeup, we took our turns having our shots done with photographer Anastasiya after we were of course adorned with jewels by Amadora. Once we finished our shots, we had some time to hang around with everyone until we were onto the next look.  What’s really cool is that although we all see each other online through social media, it’s very rare to have us all in one room for an extended period of time so it was really neat to connect with everyone on a more personal level.  We ate, chatted, hung out, ate lots of food, took lots of selfies, danced in the mirror and just had a blast together.

Take a look at some of the beautiful jewelry in Amadora’s collection.  These shots were captured by Anastasiya

Aren’t these pieces beautiful!!!

We then moved onto adoring ourselves with some Pheline Design and some more jewels from Amadora.  Aren’t Ava’s designs just divine?!?!?  Take a look at some more of the shots that Anastasiya took.

As per usual, makeup, hair, styling and all that takes so much longer than we ever budget for so we brought in another photographer that I’m sure you are familiar with  as you’ve seen a lot of his photos on my blog…Robert Skuja.  Robert came and captured some stunning images of us as groups and individuals.  Stay tuned for some more photos from this shoot that you’ll see launched soon as well.

The day was absolutely amazing.  It was fun, our creative juices were flowing, we had a blast together but more importantly, we are just a bunch of women supporting other women.  Chantelle had a vision and we worked with her to make it come to life.  That’s what women are supposed to do!  Thank you to Chantelle for including me in your vision and for bringing us all together.

Be sure to check out Amadora Designs today!
