Welcome to part 2 of one of my new series, a Pair of Queens.  If you missed the first one explaining what it’s all about, be sure to check out the blog HERE. To be honest, this whole idea of this series was just going to include 2 blogposts but after working on this project together, there will be more to follow and we are so excited.  Our creative juices have started flowing even more and given that both of our passions are for women and for them to see their value, worth and beauty – what better way to share that message than doing it together.
In our last post you heard a lot about how Julie-Anne and I met, how we individually learned to love ourselves and formed our identities in something solid so that when we met we would soar together – no competition on the table, no preconceived notions and no judgment for the other and their journeys.  Some would call us an unlikely pair but for some reason, it works….
But, something we both have in common is our zeal for life and giving it all we got.  We wake up, Bring it and Work it.  There is nothing that we do half assed and we often call each other out if the other is slacking and not bringing it – but that’s rare, of course.
Julie-Anne is beauty and brains – seriously, she’s really smart!  By day, she is an addictions counselor and psychotherapist and she has quickly been promoted and teaches others how to do the job she’s been doing.  She assesses situations and sees things differently than anyone I have ever met.  Although she’s younger than me (only by a few years lol – I’m not that old), I always forget because of how her mind works – it’s legit amazing.  She has worked hard to be where she is in life.  She brings it to all that she does.
For those that don’t know what I do, I work for a software company that does fundraising for non-profits.  So I work with a lot of strategy for clients in North America.  My brain is wired very strategically and administratively.  My email inbox however is way more organized that my bedroom.  That’s my day job – what pays the bills and all the other stuff I do, well, I guess you’d say that’s for fun and truly is my passion – modeling, speaking, blogging, writing, working with women to see their value and worth.
PAUSE- Hey all! Julie-Anne here! Happy to be back! Can I just say that I am so proud to be a part of Sarah’s journey with you all! I feel honoured daily that I get to watch how much Sarah “Brings it” to every area of her life. I know I don’t need to emphasize that-you have all followed her!

When we decided to shoot these pictures I thought it was only fitting to make us look like the kick ass queens we are. Although we grace ourselves in elegance, our inner spirits are fighters-hence our boxing gloves and sportswear (see bottom for outfit details). We wanted these pictures to be reflective of the constant fight we bring to every area of our lives. Of course like any good team mate, we cheer each other on! Sometimes Sarah is in the ring fighting, sometimes I am, and sometimes we are together.  Now of course we always have to look good doing it and well thank you Amadora Jewllery again for empowering our wrists and fingers with beautiful pieces! (see below for details).  Life is like a boxing ring, and as corny as that may sound, you are all royalty (men included) to fight the good fight.
Julie-Anne and I are wired very differently which is why I think we flow together so well, we complement one another.  We have common threads in our foundation – our faith is #1 for us, we have a passion for women to see their value & worth and we want to teach women how to get there.  There are some other ones too – like we both love to shake our booty and we have the same taste in men.
The other very big common thread is our tenacity.  We have both been through some really tough stuff, but regardless of what has been thrown our way in hopes to take us out, we still wake up, bring and work it.  Yes, we still have some down days but they never seem to be on the same day which actually works out rather well because if I’m out of fight for the day, Julie-Anne steps in for me to get me back fighting and vice versa.
I know I called us women to action in my last post but I’m going to do it again.  We were designed to love one another and how we show love can look many different ways.  Love never looks like competition, selfishness or impatiences.  Rather, “Love is patient, Love is Kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self=seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres.  Love never fails”.  If this sounds familiar, it’s likely because you’ve heard it before.  It’s from 1 Corinthians in the Bible.
Ladies, let’s do this together and Wake up, Bring It, Work It – all in good style and dripping in love.  With this attitude, you’ll score every time!
Stay Royal,
